My Eyes!
That CGI was completely unnecessary
That suprised me, for a second there I thought I was watching a video game
came outta the blue
But the fight looks sick even with those CGI tho. Normally it would be unwatchable for me but not this time.
I really don't get these people whining on this episode's CGI even though it's quite good. They seem to developed a mentality that once it's CGI it's already bad in their book.
Absolutely, after berserk and knights of sidonia most short cgi scenes don't even make me blink lol
Fr that was so smooth normally it just makes the whole sequence bad but this was an exception
I think this is the first time (other than the rumbling) a CG action scene wasn't super jarring to me
Yeah, totally different from others. I didn't even click the pause button.
I'm enjoying this anime. I don't care what anyone says about Rydia.. errr I mean.. Kelvin.
Hell yeah, that CGI was actually pretty damn good and they're not trying to pretend it's not CGI by making it all choppy to 'blend in' with the 2D animation, when other studios try to do that it just looks incredibly janky, they just went with it and honestly, it does work, I agree that a lot of the shows that use CGI make the animation look cheap, but this isn't the case, the effects look cool, the movement is fast and fluid rather than slow and floaty, it honestly works quite well, other than the jarring transition as some people pointed out, but as far as CGI goes, this is good CGI.
Exactly!!
for someone who watch 2 season of arifureta, i find this way better and more refine
Oh god oh god.. such a bravery
Honestly it was better CGI than many other animes i have watched
Not that I like cgi but better this than some other shit they put out...
Ive watched the first season of Kingdom and yeah, if not for the great story, I would've dropped the show immediately at the first episode because of how bad the CGI actually is. So yeah, the Fight scene is actually way better than the entire first half of the first season of kingdome animation wise
Not really? It wasn't even bad.
it wasnt that bad , while no cgi is generally preferred the cgi in this wasnt bad in comparison to other times we see it.
Yeah, no CGI would be great, unfortunately not every studio has the budget/time for that. Much better to just have decent CGI rather than shitty 2D animation.
Or a crappy cut down version of the fight with mostly still shots and yelling to fill the space where the animation should be lol
Indeed , the cgi wasn't bad in this case so no complaints from me.
Atleast the whole battle and the stage were cgi. A little better when you just plop cgi char onto drawn backgrounds
Yeah actually now that you mention it it does seem to blend better
Lol but funny, I did not believe what I was looking at
I liked the fluidity of their movements but still CG is difficult. It looked a bit off.
I think it was necessary to save money :') Storywise, indeed, very... PS3 quality as well :')
Yes. I don't like mash ups. It doesn't feel consistent. I never saw an animtion made in CGI surpassing normal ones.
theres also this chinese anime I've watched (The Indomitable), although the art is a little rough, the cgi was very smooth
then try watching houseki no kuni
You don't know what budget they're working with lol. The CG wasn't that bad imo, kinda some reboot vibes with less awkwardness in the animation.
it was good work.
I not expect that CGI battle
And I thought Marvel's CGI was questionable in their last couple of movies...
Till you saw this...
...yeah. XD
noah this is on the better side of anime cgi
Better than the legendary EX-Arm's CGI tho.
It caught me off guard when it showed Kelvin CGIed, I can understand why they did it for Gerard and he didn't look off but after seeing the fight with Cashel's party not CGIed it was a bit of a jump.
Tbf, he's just a typical uncle type cuz he died while he's in 30s or maybe 40s...his first child is still a baby when he turned into the undead knight, so he cant be that old....he doesnt age after death.....if we count his age after his death, then melfina should be a granny too.
I don't know if godhood is at all comparable to being undead, but yes it was strange that his fam and his portrayal didn't match. Personally I found it far stranger how he didn't even take his helmet off when holding his dying wife's hand tho...
That CGI caught me off guard, wasn’t expecting that all whatsoever. It felt like video game fight…
I liked the manga version better with the owo face.
Clotho became a legendary quasi demon king class monster in 2 episodes not gonna lie but that CGI really suprised me but it was pretty good
The battle wasn't Beastars levels of hype, but it wasn't bad to look at in my eyes.
It was Dragon Quest 2020 level if I had to guess.
Her? So you think our protag started with a slime girl right off the bat? Not bad.
I don’t know if the slime actually has a gender, but Clotho is a female name. It comes from Greek mythology.
True, I was wondering if the name is intentional and has any significance. It's a tad "big" for a slime. Quick glance at the manga suggests that it was indeed a deliberate creative decision of the author though. Maybe it was just supposed to mean "start"?
Yeah, considering that in Greek mythology, Clotho was one of the Three Fates, specifically the sister responsible for spinning the thread of life of a human and also determining when one would be born, your interpretation might not be too far off since Clotho is Kelvin’s very first summon after being born anew into this world.
Clotho looking a bit different than the last time we saw her.
I guess no one taught Kelvin to never accept candy from strangers. ^^;
That CGI tho…
